DfAM Optimizer

Shape optimisation for additive manufacturing, built into Dokimion. In preparation.

What it is

The Optimizer will propose a lighter, stiffer or cheaper shape for a part from its operating conditions: the loads, the supports, the material and the print technology. It is the second module of Dokimion, next to the printability check.

How it fits with the check

Every shape the Optimizer produces goes through the same check as any uploaded part, with the same rules and the same Kolesar Score. An optimised part that cannot be printed is not a result, so the two are one workflow: optimise, check, adjust. See how the score is built.

Where it stands

In preparation. There is no release date and no price yet. The printability check is available today, and its price list is on the pricing page. Nothing on this page is a promise of a feature or a date.
